Born in North Tarrytown, New York, Matt Cyran found his way to the law through his family roots in law enforcement. One of few men in his family who is not a New York City policeman, Matt was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army Field Artillery after college. Serving with the First Infantry Division in Operation Desert Storm, Matt was awarded the Bronze Star for his actions in combat. As a practicing attorney in Oklahoma for 24 years, Matt brings an extensive trial career in criminal, civil and business litigation.

After graduating law school, Matt was hired as a felony prosecutor by then Tulsa County District Attorney, David L. Moss. For six years, Matt prosecuted largely child abuse cases in Tulsa County until going into private practice where he represented school districts, cities and businesses. In 2008, the United States Attorney asked Matt to be a federal prosecutor in his office. There, Matt spent another six years as the Director of the Child Exploitation unit. Finally, Matt returned to private practice in Tulsa until joining the lawyers of White & Weddle in 2021.

In more than two decades practicing law, Matt personally invests in each case or client he represents. His legal experiences have taught him that each case is unique, every client, their own person with their own story. A pure litigator, Matt prides himself on his attention to detail and personal involvement with his clients.

Matt is admitted to practice in Oklahoma state courts and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma as well as the Eastern District of Texas. Matt is also admitted in and has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
